Fountain of Hope Mentoring Program for Young Ladies

For with Thee is the fountain of life.  In Thy light shall we see light.” – Psalm 36:9Mentoring

Redemption Fellowship Fountain of Hope program provides Christ centered classes for young ladies ages 8 to 19, using biblical principles to encourage young ladies to lead a life that glorifies God.

This program was birthed out of the hearts of Christian women, encouraged by God, to help young ladies understand God’s purpose for their lives.  We desire the best for young ladies, and strive to teach them to expect the best for themselves through Godly principles and practical life application.

Our commitment is to help young ladies understand and proclaim God’s word, and pursue Christ and His holiness with a passionate heart.  This program encourages a passion for God’s people, while developing intimate life-transforming relationships with our Father and other young ladies.

We believe this program is a tremendous start for young ladies in our church and surrounding communities.  It is our hope this program will encourage all who participate to become the very best they can be in Christ Jesus.  We pray you will feel a sense of significance as future mentors, to not only have an impact in this lifetime, but for generations to come.

  • Mandate:

The Fountain of Hope Mentoring program desires to ignite the hearts of women to seek God’s wisdom and instruction for a lifestyle of Holiness.  It is also our desire to encourage young ladies ages 8 through 19 to live a selfless life by loving one another through Christ centered relationships.

  • Objectives:

To demonstrate the shape of Godliness through unconditional love and nurturing relationships between older and younger women in order to encourage and equip their lives for God’s glory.
Titus 2:3-5
1.     The teaching of sound doctrine with emphasis on life applications.
2.    Helping younger women build their confidence, by reaching out to other young ladies with a heart of love and compassion.  This action will develop them into creative, passionate and nurturing mentors who will be able to share their love and good deeds.

  • Goals:

1.    To encourage and instill into the hearts and minds of women, young and old, a vision of enduring relationships that reflect a life of Godliness.
2.    To encourage a lifestyle of Godly discipline.
3.    To serve one another in love.
4.    To encourage life-transforming relationships to become mentors.

  • Life Application Classes

Career Development:  Designed to teach and enhance life and job skills; assisting with the creation of a student resume; career assessment and selection; interview techniques and Dressing for Success.

Community Service:  Christ was a servant, and we will teach His principles of service.  The young ladies and mentors will work together to serve others in the community through a variety of ways.

Christian and Sexuality:  From friendships to dating.  We discuss the issues, traps and dangers of dating and teach them how to “win the mental battle over sex.”  We focus on the traps, myths, and consequences of sex outside of marriage.

Etiquette:  Did I do that?  This is an interactive class using role playing and practical teaching to demonstrate that etiquette and manners are not just about behavior but also the consideration of others.

Health and Wellness:  This is an interactive class focused on encouraging the participant to take care of their temple through good health, proper nutrition, and fitness.  Body type and shape is also discussed.

Love:  This class focuses on learning to accept God’s love for oneself and teaching unconditional love for others.

Peer Pressure:  This course teaches how to live your life in such a way that shows that Jesus is the only one you care about fitting in with and impressing.  It discusses the definitions of peer pressure and how to resist peer pressure in today’s world.

Relationships:  This class focuses on developing healthy relationships with God and others, where their gifts will be used to transform others.

Safety:  This class was developed to teach participants to know and understand the rules of personal safety.  Today’s world presents many fears and dangers, and we strive to prepare our young ladies to deal with them and protect themselves.

Self-Esteem:  This course teaches that self-esteem comes from God first, and then from the way we interact with others around us in the way we give to them our love, affection, and time.  It encourages loving others and in turn loving ourselves; self-awareness; inner beauty and possessing a gentle spirit.
