Children’s Ministry

The mission of the Children’s Ministry is to provide a Christian education to children of all ages and to help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  The children are taught to praise and worship the Lord in a fun, exciting and age appropriate manner. We seek also to impress upon our children a love for the Lord.  This ministry exists to oversee and facilitate teachings that grow, nurture, and discipline children, gently but purposefully, toward maturity in Christ Jesus so that they are equipped to glorify God in every area of their lives.  We also strive to help children discover, develop and use their God given gifts to glorify Him and build up the body of Christ.

Specific ministry areas within the Children’s Ministry include Nursery, Sunday school, and Children’s Church.  Opportunities exist for volunteers to teach Children’s church, Wednesday night Bible Study, as well as Vacation Bible School.  Volunteers also assist with holiday activities and special events.

VBS

The Vacation Bible School (VBS) offers a Christ-centered program with a fun integrated theme, which teaches life application lessons for ages three (3) to adult.  This weeklong adventure offers activities such as Bible stories, crafts, skits, games, and songs.  Plans are underway for VBS 2010, which takes place in June.

Youth

The Youth Ministry exists to glorify God by nurturing and disciplining students towards maturity in Christ.  This is achieved through educating students in the truth of God’s Word, exposing students to local and foreign missions, and engaging students in service, Sunday school, youth and high school classes, and regular fellowship.
